Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) uses a powerful magnetic field, radio waves to create a picture of the inside of the body. At Royal Scans, we routinely perform MRIs to help evaluate and diagnose numerous conditions.
Bone Density Scan
A bone density test helps to estimate the density of your bones and your chance of breaking a bone. Our central dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry (DXA) machine diagnose osteoporosis.
Ultrasound
Ultrasound, or sonography, provides high-resolution images of the inside of the body. We possess high-end ultrasound machines that have excellent image quality and are equipped with modern applications like Harmonic Imaging, elastography, and 3D imaging.
Digital X-ray
This diagnostic procedure are used to examine most areas of the body. The electromagnetic waves take images of the body to aid your doctor to look inside your body without having to make an incision. They are used to look at the bones and joints, although they’re sometimes utilized to detect problems affecting soft tissue, such as internal organs.

What is MRI?
An MRI (Magnetic Resonance imaging) is an imaging procedure that uses a large magnet, radiofrequencies, and a computer to produce detailed images of organs and structures within the body in order for doctors to make or “rule out” medical diagnoses
Does MRI use radiation?
MRI does NOT use radiation like x-rays and CT scans do. MRI uses two natural forces- a magnetic field, and radiofrequency pulses- to produce clear, detailed images of your body.
What are the timings for MRI & for other diagnostic services?
Our Team is available 24 x 7 on call.
How long will it take? (MRI)
Your MRI test may take as little as 15 minutes or as long as an hour depending on the type and number of tests.
How long will it take for results? (MRI)
You will be handed over the films at same time and reports within 24 hours.
What are all other diagnostic services available at Royal Scans?

Can I get my report on WhatsApp?
Yes, reports can be mailed or sent on WhatsApp.
Will it hurt? (MRI)
An MRI is a painless procedure. However, due to the length of some examinations, some patients may find it uncomfortable to remain still during the test. The technologist will do their best to get you as comfortable as possible for the exam with the use of MRI safe cushions and supports.
What if I’m claustrophobic?
Royal Scans offers a wide bore scanner that is bigger, faster and more detailed than a traditional open MRI. Some tools we use to help with claustrophobia include the use of blindfolds, panic button, specialized glasses, audio speakers.
What should I wear?
You will be asked to remove any clothing containing metal and all jewellery. You will be provided metal free clothing to change into such as a gown, shorts or pants. Lockers are available to securely store all personal items such as your wallet, purse, keys, phone and other electronic devices.
What is the cost of an MRI?
